Moto E: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know

The Moto E is no longer a secret, thanks to Brazilian retailer Fast Shop. The online store posted the affordable Android handset today, along with images of its exterior and a full list of specs. To say that this phone has been created for “all” is not an understatement. This phone, by all means, will likely be priced even lower than the Moto G, a move that will only continue Motorola’s major push into emerging markets.

So what are we looking at?

Outside of three colors (black, turquoise, and lemon), the Moto E includes a 4.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass (no resolution given, but doubting it is HD), 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 5MP rear camera, 1980mAh battery, 4GB of storage (micro SD slot too), 1GB RAM, dual-SIM slots, WiFi/3G/Bluetooth, and runs Android 4.4 “Kit Kat.” Its model number is XT1025. The phone can be customized by swapping out Motorola Shells on the backside.

For comparison’s sake, these are the specs of the Moto G: 4.5-inch HD (720p) display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 (quad-core), 8GB/16GB storage, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 2070mAh battery, and Kit Kat.

The Moto E is expected to be formally announced on May 13 by Motorola at a press event in London.

Anyone feel like guessing the price? If the Moto G starts at $179, is this phone going to be sub-$100?
