Google’s never-ending task to make Android more visually satisfying looks to be going well, as new information regarding enhanced search results animations have hit the web. In what is called LEGO, Google is looking to smoothen the animations which are shown on Android devices after performing a Google search.
Once a search is initiated, you will see results fly in rather elegantly from the bottom of the screen, not just appearing with a slight stutter as they do now. At the end of the day, this is Google simply trying to make things more aesthetically pleasing for all users, nothing too major.
There was previously a link to test out LEGO yourself, but Google has unfortunately pulled it from the web. Guess we will just have to wait until Google has LEGO fully baked to use it on our own devices. While it’s a bummer we can’t try it ourselves, Google I/O is right around the corner, and their developer conference surely would be a great time to announce this new feature.
Until then, check out this video which shows off what Google has cooking. The left tab in Chrome has LEGO enabled, while the tab on the right is your standard results as we see them today.
